Study and Design of an electronic scanning system for next generation radar applications in X band

This article proposes the study and design of an electronic scanning system for next generation radar applications. This system consists of a 4*4 Butler matrix, an antenna array of eight elements and a beam select. The frequency band considered is the X band, the design is done with microstrip technology using the RT/Duroid 5880 substrate (εr=2,2 tgδ = 0.0009 h=0.8mm) and simulations are realized with Advanced Design System (ADS) software.
