Design and Characteristic Study of New Array Geometry Antennas for [4–8] GHz Frequency Band Radar Purpose

Our objective in this work is to conceive an array antennas with high radiation performance for 4-8 GHz range frequency, especially for weather radars Interest. The proposed structure geometry is planar engraved onto a Flame Resistant 4 substrate of 118×100×1.58 mm3 dimensions. The bandwidth accomplished by this geometry antenna is approximately 115%, it's simple and it will provide the broad bandwidth with high radiation performance which are needed for several radar. The characteristics of this array antennas are studied and optimized based on HFSS simulator tool and compared by CST.
