Safety Analysis and Risk Assessment of LPAR Software System

This study investigates the safety problems for a Large Phased Array Radar (LPAR) software system. Firstly, the Software Fault Tree Analysis method was used to analyze the safety of the LPAR software system, and to identify any problems that may cause safety failure of the software system. Secondly, the problem of safety analysis was transformed into a Bayesian network risk assessment model. GeNIe software was used for the simulation and a risk assessment was performed which identified the safety weaknesses in the system. Finally, the Software Failure Modes and Effects Analysis method was used to analyze the safety weaknesses of the LPAR software system, to determine the cause of the safety failure and to propose measures for improvement.
