Performance Evaluation of Audio Watermarking in EMD Framework

Digital audio watermarking is one of the promising solutions in copyright infringement problems for long time. Various methods have been introduced over the years and Wavelet transform based watermarking techniques have secured their place as one of the most effective one. However, this transform fails to provide proper matching between its basic functions and audio signals. This paper has been projected, Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) as a data driven method in order to improve the transmission bit rate. Here Quantization Index Modulation (QIM) has been used to hide the copyright information in this recommended platform. Proposed algorithm has been evaluated against different signal impairment conditions as well as compared with other similar techniques to justify the effectiveness of the utility for EMD and QIM.
