Intelligent Systems of Climate Chamber for Water Supply Based on Feedforward PID

Climate chamber is used to test the effects of specified environmental conditions on industrial products and materials. An important factor is the constant temperature and humidity during the period of testing. There is a situation when the tank which humidity is produced needs to be refilled water. The existing temperature balance of the tank, the temperature link with the relative humidity of climate chamber, had broken after refilling water. There are many hours oscillation of temperature and humidity, so that the error is out of the specified range of standard. An intelligent control system is proposed in this paper, which can intelligently select the target temperature of water replenishment for feedforward proportional integral derivatives (PID) control. Then, system will refill water to tank automatically, minimizing the temperature disturbance. The results show that the deviation under non-large inertia disturbance is less than ±0.1°C and ±2% as 23.0°C and 45.0% relative humidity, meanwhile oscillation time of temperature and humidity after each replenishment is less than 1h. The intelligent system can effectively solve disturbance problem during refilling water, which improves the stability of the control system.
