Users Perceptions and Experience on Blackboard Learn Functionalities

This research explored the perceptions and experience of students and teachers on various Blackboard Learn (BBL) functionalities used for Engineering and Business curriculum. Students and teachers perceived themselves as either good or excellent at various BBL functionalities. While students frequently use the BBL platform to check their course grades, take tests/assessments, and submit assignments, the teachers more frequently use it to post the course materials and grades, conduct assessments, receive assignments and communicate with students. In general, a blend of conventional face-to-face methods and the BBL based methods are preferred by students and teachers. "Freezing of the system when taking tests" and lag in "BBL logging time" are the two major concerns encountered by students.
