Interference modeling for molecular communication with receptor antagonist

A diffusion-based communication system in which receptors bind messenger molecules from transmitting cells is examined. A particle-based interference model is developed that incorporates antagonist molecules that can occupy receptor sites to block communication. The normal selfinterference that occurs as receptor sites are occupied by molecules from the transmitting cell, or nanomachine, is also considered. A solution involving a Markov chain is developed to assess the performance of the cellular communication link. Simulation results are shown to agree with this solution.
