Digital Correction of Time Interleaved DAC Mismatches

Time Interleaved Digital to Analog Converters (TIDACs) enable high speed DAC operation but suffer from distortion due to mismatches between sub DACs. To mitigate this distortion, we propose a mismatch correction method which pre-processes the DAC input using digital filters. The optimal filter coefficients are computed via a foreground calibration algorithm. We show that the correction method has minimal complexity and is able to significantly reduce mismatch induced distortion.
