Data Analytics Research Agenda: E-Learning & its Integration with Other Platforms

This paper summarizes a research agenda, system proposal, and inceptive outcomes from a preparatory analysis of piloting literature contents. In recent times, the e-learning concept has boomed tremendously and has become popular in the education sector of many countries. More to this, many other technologies or platforms are integrated with the core e-learning podium. Our primary aim is to identify the overall integrated structure and develop an analytics system, which will allow the end-users to extract, and visualize the information of interest. In this paper, we propose our analytics system that is specifically designed to capture and visualize the information of interest, which is spread across an e-learning system and the platforms integrated with the particular e-learning system. However, research gaps still remain when considering solutions that retrieve, process, and visualize meaningful contents from enormous information. The research methodology that will be followed to achieve the final outcome of this study has also been outlined in this paper.
