Abstract:

We propose an efficient entropy loading (EL) scheme with NGMI target based on lookup tables. We reveal the EL superiority on channel coding over bit loading in a 100-Gb/s DMT system, proving EL as the optimum capacity-approaching modulation for band-limited transceivers.
