The IoT Based Temperature Monitoring and Air Inlet Optimization Controlling for Gasification Stove

Bed type gasification stove was selected to use in the household instead of a traditional cookstove. It can use with biomass in order to reduce the consuming the fossil fuel. The main problem of using a small size Bed type gasification stove is an igniting in the early stage of higher temperature chamber. This temperature effect to the humidity and quality of raw material including the continuous usage of the stove. In this study, the investigation of the temperature by monitoring the gasification process of the stove by using IoT system comprise a Raspberry Pi 3 model B as a single-board microcomputer that connected to the internet and operated along with Blynk Mobile Application that acts as a system monitoring of the stove temperature in real time. The production and efficiency of the gasification process were considered by controlling of airflow inlet to the stove that optimized for the conversion of biomass to bio-fuel product under the gasification process. The result found that the IoT can be used as a temperature monitoring and air inlet controlling for gasification stove in real time. The user can adjust the optimum air inlet through the stove depending on the raw material types because of Air inlet to the stove effect to the yield of biochar and the stove efficiency.
