Mathematical Modeling and Analysis of Lane Number on Traffic Flow

In order to figure out the impact from the number of lanes, we consult mathematical analysis of effects of lane's number on expressway capacity and refer to the method of calculating the road capacity, after which we make further deduction and calculation to conclusion what does traffic flow have to do with lane's number. Based on a hypothetical overtaking rate and the basic capacity of two-lane highway we calculate by using the data provided, we make an exact formula to describe this effect.
