High heels

It is not known when high heels made their first appearance. But we do know that butchers in ancient Egypt elevated themselves by high heels to avoid wet feet, and that much later, Catherine de Medici and Mary I of England added to their height by wearing high heels ("High-Heeled," En.wikipedia.org 2017). Since then high heels for women have walked in and out of fashion. Fashion is basically about change.
