Machine Learning for Metaheuristics - State of the Art and Perspectives

During the last years, interest on hybrid metaheuristics has risen considerably in the field of optimization. The best results found for many optimization problems in science and industry are obtained by combining optimization and machine learning. Combinations of optimization tools such as metaheuristics, and machine learning, have provided very efficient optimization algorithms. In this talk we will present a state of the art of such combinations and give some research directions.
