WIND ARRAY: A Novel Approach to Low Speed Wind Harnessing

The novelty of the present work focusing on the production of electrical energy on small scale is that it provides a method to harness wind energy at low wind speeds even below the cut-in speeds of ordinary wind turbines. The present method is capable to harness energy from varying wind speeds of 0.8m/s to 5m/s by employing a wind array comprising of multiple units of small turbine-generator sets connected in series to generate augmented electrical energy.
