Ad hoc testing technique is the free form testing technique which does not require the pre-planned documentation and test cases. This is an informal and creative software testing technique which requires the prior knowledge about the system functionality. This article focuses on the Ad hoc testing, its types, advantages, disadvantages, challenges, how to use it more effectively and when and where to use it in the testing process.
