An Ultra Wideband Absorber With Multilayer Superstrate Based On Tightly Coupled Array

An ultra-wideband absorber employing a resistive surface based on tightly coupled array (TCA),which covers whole P band, is proposed. The resistive surface is a layer of Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) coated on polystyrene. Based on the simulation with Matlab and Ansoft HFSS, the reflection coefficient and bandwidth of the absorber are given. The proposed absorber, with a thickness of only $0.1~\lambda $ at the lowest frequency, exhibits good absorption rate below -10 dB over the bandwidth of 225 MHz- 1.45 GHz.
