Automatic Age Estimation from Face Images Using Facial Features

The basic findings of the paper based on different age group classification. Image processing is a field in which biometric traits such as face, lip and other biomedical expression moments etc, are important for recognition. Age estimation from face images is the challenging and crucial task in pattern recognition. Face is the most important biometric trait for recognition. In this paper we present an efficient age estimation system in which Viola Jones Algorithm and Euclidean distance used with Support vector machine [SVM] for feature extraction and classification. Database of 90 images (15 images per group) is used for age determination. The proposed system classifies the input face image into one of the age group from 6 different age group with margin of 10 year. It is observed that age estimation accuracy of our project is 98.89%. The proposed paper is nothing but sequential steps of age estimation system.
