Space Vector Control of PMSM Based on Sliding Mode Observer

Mathematical models of PMSM (Permanent Synchronous Magnet Motor) in different reference frames and space vector control technology are researched. Methods of detecting the rotor position of PMSM are analyzed, on the basis of which, a robust SMO (sliding mode observer) with LPF (Low Pass Filter) that is easy for engineering implementation is designed. Parameters of SMO and LPF are coordinated so that the vibration problem of sliding mode is solved. Based on the field-oriented control fundamental and estimated value, the space vector control of sensor-less PMSM is realized.
