Multistage Spectrum Tran-Sensing in OFDM Adaptive Mimo Channels

Radio Spectrum is a rare asset for the nation. Since radio spectrum is limited, its fullest utilization improves channel capacity. Cognitive radio is a software defined radio, that provides solutions to improve spectrum utilization. Channel capacity improvement ensured by an efficient spectrum sensing method. The traditional spectrum sensing method involves Quiet and Active sensing. In quiet-sensing method, spectrum is idle during sensing period. In Active Sensing, frequency spectrum resources are under utilized. The sharing of channel sensing information between active and inactive Secondary User(SU) transmitters is very difficult. Tran-sensing method mitigates the issues in traditional sensing methods. In Tran-sensing the spectrum is sensed and a signal is sent simultaneously. In this paper, Tran-sensing is implemented with Multiple Input Multiple Output Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (MIMO OFDM) systems with improvement in self interference reduction and echo cancellation. In OFDM, data stream divided into lower bit rate pools transmitted into multiple orthogonal carriers. Proposed methodology is implemented by using MATLAB.
