Models and Algorithms of Optical Switching Systems with Decentralized Control

Today teraflop performance photon computing systems are required for solving complex problems. Such photon computing systems consist of thousands processors which communicate with each other via photon switching system. In our project the photon switching systems that consist of fundamentally new 4x4 switching cells are under consideration. These new photon switching systems have low complexity, small number of stages and high performance. The models and algorithms of the 16×16 and 256×256-switching systems with decentralized control are developed and these ones are described in detail for the first time. The expressions for the complexity and delay time of the developed schemes are obtained and its comparison with Shpanke, Benes and Benes-Shpanke schemes are carried out.
