Investigation of Influence of Pulse Electric Current on High-Speed Deformation of Copper M1 by Magnetic Pulse Loading

Experimental investigation of the high-speed deformation of the copper M1 samples was carried out by magnetic pulse loading with amplitude 0.1 GPa and microseconds duration. Fracture process of the sample after sequential accumulation of the residual opening of the groove ~60-70% is observed. The possibility of the realization of mechanical loading with simultaneously impulse current loading in the area of the deformation is shown for the investigation of electric current influence on the process of high-speed deformation.
