Discussion of the Signal Transmission Crosstalk

In this study, two differential pairs are studied in simulation by changing the line-space between two pairs and recording the variation of the crosstalk between the differential pairs. The results show the effect of mutual interference is reduced when the spacing increases. In addition, by replacing one of the differential pairs with a single-ended transmission line shows the same trend of variation. Further, the fan-shaped additional area and the discontinuous loop path are implemented by layout respectively, to suppress the crosstalk interference between the two differential pairs at the bends. By simulation, conclude that the fan-shaped compensation requires enough area to improve isolation, and the non-continuous return path can suppress 2.4 dB of crosstalk.
