Pattern Synthesis for Subarray by Controlling Multi-point Arrays Response

This paper works on the pattern synthesis for uniform subarray problem which is seldom researched, and a new pattern synthesis approach based on multi-point array response controlling is proposed for uniform subarray. From the analysis of the subarray structure, it is easy to notice that subarray desired pattern can be calculated from the given array output desired pattern and the single clustered array pattern determined by the subarray construction. On this basis, the weight vector adjusting the subarray pattern to the subarray desired pattern also is able to control the output pattern to meet the requirements of desired pattern. Thus, we can solve the problem by computed out a optimal weight vector with closed form adjusting multi-point at one step, which is an interesting brightness of the method. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is effective for pattern synthesis of uniform subarray. Therefore, this paper provides an important theory for the engineering.
