Temperature Observation Inside a Heating Slab via Fuzzy-Galerkin Approximation

This paper proposes an observer for approximating the temperature inside a heating slab in a furnace. The observer is established based on Galerkin method to solve the heat transfer equation and Fuzzy technique to estimate the temperature-dependent material parameters of heating slabs. Numerical simulations for observer performance verification is subsequently conducted in virtual reality environment using Simscape. The simulation results affirm good temperature observation of the developed observer.
