Evaluation of the Induced Electric Field in Human Body by Wireless Power Transfer System for EV/PHV

In recent years, research on wireless power transfer system for charging EV / PHV has been developed. For human health protection, it is necessary to pay attention to exposure of human body to the leaked magnetic field from this system. In this paper, the induced electric fields were evaluated for different gap lengths between the primary coil and the secondary coil using electromagnetic field simulation. The computational results show that the induced electric field decreased as the gap length increased.
