The Fog-Based Framework for Design of Real-Time Control Systems in Internet of Things Environment

The proposed framework provides building infrastructure for the integration of the fog-based IoT control systems. The data transmission methods for real-time front-end device to fog-node communication over the simple connectionless transmission model are introduced and utilized by fog connector protocol suite. The methods are tailored for time-sensitive control applications and time-aware processing within the distributed message-oriented middleware in the form of the configurable service agent components. The presented framework is implemented and verified in the network control system use-case for temperature regulation in drying chamber.
