Simulation Study on the Effect of Electrode Shape on Microwave Discharge

Given that the microwave discharge involved the discharge field strength and the discharge electrode shape of spark plugs, providing 6.77×10

V/m is the initial maximum field strength, the simulation is carried out to compare and analyze the changes in the maximum electron concentration and the conductivity between the truncated-electrode discharge and the stepped-electrode discharge, showing that the truncated electrode discharge featured much higher discharge rate and electron concentration compared with the stepped electrode discharge.
