Practical Application of the Graphic Processing Unit for Data Encryption on the UAV On-Board Computer

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in our time are being used increasingly in various critical areas of human activity to collect large amounts of data. Unauthorized access to this information can lead to serious consequences. Various means and methods of cryptographic data protection are used to prevent unauthorized access to data. In this article we propose the practical solution for providing on-line encryption of application data received by the UAV. The capabilities of the graphic processing unit (GPU) of the on-board computer are used for these purposes. The proposed solution, in addition to reliable protection of the received application data, reduces the load on the central processor of the on-board computer and makes the most efficient use of the capabilities of the UAV hardware platform.
