Abstract:
In embedded IoT applications, it's helpful to have rules engine patterns to support real-time processing of data from many sensors. This paper describes a Smart Rules Engine pattern model, in which the facts represent the description of the input data in a complex manner in the form of a dynamic situation at different levels of generalization and abstraction. A generalized description of the situation in the form of a set of facts is created automatically in real time using rules. Additionally, it describes a fact characteristic-a fuzzy confidence factor-which allows to take into account the uncertainty, incompleteness and relevance associated with the aging of the input data.
