SPAD Sensors with $256\times 2$ Linear Array for Time Delay Integration Demonstration

Single-photon avalanche diode (SPAD) with 256×2 linear array is proposed for time delay integration (TDI) demonstration, which is called TDI-SPAD. Compared with that of charge coupled devices, the proposed TDI-SPAD method is characterized by low noise and high efficiency, as well as the high modulation transfer function and transfer efficiency. The design of multi-stages TDI-SPAD is given, and the performance is detailed analyzed. The SPAD chip with 256×2 line array is implemented to illustrate the performance of time delay integration demonstration, showing the effectivity of the proposed method.
