Compact measurement setup for antennas operating in the 220-325 GHz band

This paper presents a compact radiation pattern measurement system for waveguide-fed antennas in the 220325 GHz band. The radiation pattern measurement setup consists of a millimeter-wave source as the transmitter (Tx) and a Schottky diode as the receiver (Rx) combined with a lock-in technique. A corrugated horn is designed and measured in order to validate the measurement set-up. The radiation pattern is measured in the 300 GHz band and a good agreement with simulated data is shown.
