Microfluidic Impedance Tuner

In this paper, Microfluidic Impedance Tuner has been proposed for impedance tuning applications for 900 MHz band. The proposed impedance tuner is based on double-stub and microfluidic channels. The liquid metal (EGaIn) is used to control the length of the stub. The mismatched impedance can be 50-ohms matched to the length of the stub which is adjusted by injecting EGaIn. The amount of EGaIn in the microfluidic channel is controlled by microcontroller and micropumps.
