New Approach Based on Multifractal Spectrum Features for Detection of Osteoporosis

This paper presents the different steps taken for the design and development of a medical image analysis approach. The approach developed is a specific tool dedicated to the diagnosis of bone-related diseases. Knowledge-based modeling is performed based on Legendre's multifractal spectrum. This approach was well suited to analyzing the deterioration and degree of organization of the trabecular bone texture. Validation of the results was done using a practical example on an image basis from a medical research center.
