Deriving Informational Needs from Process Models: the Case of Cell Therapy and Bone Marrow Transplant Workflow in a Cancer Center Organization

A new method for deriving informational entities based on business process models in a cancer care setting is presented in this research. This method may lead to develop system models in early stages. We have used an example of business process in Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) process, to illustrate the hypothesis (argument), and to show the application of this method. The process of BMT shows its ease and timeliness. Finally, further work is planned to validate and evaluate the proposed method using several cases with different domains.
