Abstract:

This paper presents a systematic synthesis procedure for M-PhC(Metallic Photonic Crystal) BPFs(bandpass filters) in THz regime based on M-matrix scheme. M-PhC point-defect cavities with a centrally-loaded-rod are used to design the filters. As an example, a 5th-order Chebyshev-type filter based on an inline structure is designed. The simulation results of the synthesized filter agree well with the theoretical ones, which validates the proposed filter structure and the design scheme.
