Modeling losses in IMS network

The IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) is a specification of Third Generation Partnership Group (3GPP). It merges all communication service infrastructure combining IP protocol and technologies onwire and wireless networks. IMS allow real-time services on most of various packet-switched technologies (GPRS, ADSL, WLAN, Cable, WiMAX, EPS) by using protocol SIP (Session Initiation Protocol). The SIP protocol is used for session establishmentand control and is completely independent of underlying protocols. Also, as used in IMS, it includes multiples extensions. The Call Session Control Functions (CSCF`s) and Home Subscriber Server (HSS)servers are key components of IMS network. Lost, jitter, average delay areimportant parameters for Network planning. It will be interesting to extend studies of such parameters on IMS network. In this paper we propose an analytical model for lossesevaluations in IMS network.
