PyPS: An Open Source Large Scale Power System Small Signal Analysis Software Package

this paper describes small signal stability analysis software package (PyPS) which is mainly an open source code with PyQt GUI based software package for either small/medium or large scale power systems as well. PyPS is performed with power flow calculation and small signal analysis modules. It contains many power systems components as different synchronous machines models, voltage regulators, FACT, DC lines and HVDC. PyPS is provided with a set of graphical interface to make it easy to handle for users. Many cases study are presented in this paper to illustrate the capabilities of the presented tool.
