The Influence of Operating Conditions on Discharge Characteristics for Traction Battery

In order to analyze the influence of electric vehicle (EV) operation condition to electric energy metering, the discharge characteristics of battery under actual operating conditions were studied. Ternary lithium battery is taken as the research object, By monitoring the characteristics of the ripple, wave amplitude, dynamic range and load mutation of the battery discharge in the actual operating condition, the influence of the ADC resolution and sampling rate on the DC power measurement is evaluated and calculated. The research results show that the ripple change in discharge current is the key factor that affects the measurement of vehicle energy metering.
