Research on Network Scalability of Energy Management System in Ship Integrated Power System

With the increasing degree of equipment informatization in ship integrated power system, higher requirements have been raised for network scalability of energy management system. Based on the optimization principle of network topology scalability, circular topology and double-tree topology were comparatively analyzed from four aspects: hierarchicalization, modularization, invulnerability and flexibility. The scalability evaluation index and the network evaluation model of invulnerability were constructed. Based on test cases, with different number of nodes, key evaluation indexes (throughput, latency, impact scope of faults, failover time and network invulnerability measurement) of circular topology and double-tree topology were tested and analyzed horizontally and vertically. Results indicate that double-tree topology has equal network path lengthand can guarantee fault-isolation, time-ordered, real-time characteristics. Therefore, the double-tree topology is more scalable with the increase of the network size.
