Design and Analysis of Subsea Manifold Piping Systems

Based on the sea depth of 1,500 m in the South China Sea, this paper focuses on the overall design ideas and methods of subsea manifolds with double flow line and double input. The layout scheme of different valves and pipelines and the space volume utilization were discussed, and the pipeline parameter design of the two phase fluid was completed. In this paper, three kinds of stress design criteria were analyzed. Stress analysis and deformation analysis of the designed piping system were carried out based on AutoPIPE software. The strength of the system was checked according to the relevant specifications of ASME. The results show that the circumferential stress was mainly affected by the internal and external pressure difference of the pipeline, and the longitudinal stress was mainly affected by the constraint form of the pipeline node and the temperature difference inside and outside the pipeline.
