Liquid Cooling Heat Exchanger for High Density Telecom Equipment

This paper deals with new cooling solution for high density telecommunication equipment. Cooling system is mandatory in order to maintain optimal air temperature and provide a safe environment for all telecom and computing equipment. As power dissipated by telecom is growing, air cooling solution reaches its physical limits. New solutions should be found taking account dependability, modularity and energy efficiency. This document purpose a rear heat exchanger cooled by liquid. After a lab design and validation, field trials are completed. Measurements and monitoring are performed over several months in order to validate this concept.
