Fairness and Efficiency in an Elastic Optical Network under Heavy Traffic

The development of the Elastic Optical Networks paradigm brings to the table the discussion of methods and policies to use the optical spectrum more efficiently. This work discusses the use of spectrum partitions to seek the most impartial operation in a single-link EON under heavy traffic.
