Introduction to the Special Issue in Memoriam of Lotfi A. Zadeh [Guest Editorial]

It is with great pride and sadness that we present this special issue of the Computational Intelligence Magazine (CIM) dedicated to Lotfi A. Zadeh, the renowned founder of fuzzy set theory [1], who passed away in September 2017. In a previous issue of CIM [2], we collected the voices of many fuzzy sets pioneers, describing the different facets of Lotfi, as a scientist, a mentor, and a man. In this special issue of CIM, we focus on his legacy, impact, and the evolution of his work.
