Third Order Sliding Mode Control of Buck Converter Fed Permanent Magnet DC Motor

This paper deals with the third-order sliding mode control of a permanent magnet DC motor. The third order sliding mode controller is designed to regulate the speed of the Permanent magnet DC motor to the specified value. The Permanent magnet DC motor is fed with Buck converter and the controller designed in this paper is simulated through Matlab Software. Results are obtained satisfactorily and compared with conventional proportional integral derivative controller.
