A Novel CPW-fed Patch Antenna for Ultra Wide Band Radar

In this paper, the design and analysis of a new coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed antenna for ultrawideband (UWB)radar is presented. The antenna of the radar has a small size of 60 × 60 × 1.6 mm

, and the impedance bandwidth of the proposed antenna is as large as 68 % relative to the centre frequency of 2.02 GHz. The antenna has many advantages, including small size, wide-bandwidth (1.33-2.70 GHz), and good omni-directivity.
