Antennas for Deep Space: Design and Technology Challenges

This paper highlights the High Gain Antenna (HGA) RF and Thermo-Mechanical design solutions adopted by Thales Alenia Space Italia in deep space missions, supported by the European Space Agency (ESA) with different mission profiles and different environments. Present technology challenges are also highlighted.
