A 300-GHz Step-profiled Corrugated Horn Antenna Array

This paper studies a 300-GHz step-profiled corrugated horn antenna array integrated in low temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC)technology. First, several identical step-profiled corrugate horn antennas were aligned into linear array in the immediate vicinity. Then, the mutual coupling among the elements was evaluated and discussed. Finally, the radiation performance of the antenna array was inspected with a comparison between the calculated and simulated results. It was found that the mutual coupling between the adjacent elements is rather weak, indicating such a step-profiled corrugated horn antenna array is attractive candidate for THz antenna array applications.
