A Broadband Cirularly Polarized Directional Antenna Applied on Satellite Communication

A broadband circularly polarized antenna with directional radiation is presented in this paper. The proposed antenna is composed of four orthogonal dipoles which are backed by four near-field resonant parasitic (NFRP) reflector to broaden the 3-dB axial-ratio bandwidth (ARBW) and generate a directional radiation pattern. The antenna has a simple series feed structure, which can realize 90° phase shift and four equal power divisions. The total size of the antenna is 130×130×20mm
