Experience in Developing a Physical Model of Submersible Electrical Equipment for Simulator Systems: Research and Training Tasks on the Agenda of a Key Employer

The process of oil production is a complex technological process that requires a large amount of electricity. The main consumers of electrical energy in the production well stock are submersible induction motors, which operate as part of electrical submersible pumps. Most of the motors of oil producing wells operate in non-nominal modes, therefore, with non-nominal power factor and efficiency. In this regard, the determination of the operating modes parameters of electric motors is an important task, both from the point of view of the correct selection of equipment at the stage of well design, and from the point of view of energy efficiency at the stage of its operation. The paper presents a technique for modeling induction motors in non-nominal modes, which allows us to take into account the design features of the motor, as well as its energy characteristics in the non-nominal operating modes. Also, a technique is given for determining the similarity coefficients for physical modeling of the motor load, which allows solving the problems of scaling and interpolating mathematical models of induction motors. An important task for the university is to train qualified personnel who can first master the developed techniques on the simulator, and then use them in production.
